After more than ten years of touring and almost as many EPs and split releases, Brickfight’s debut LP is long overdue. To What End chronicles the bands history as Texas natives to their current status of one the backbones of Chicago’s punk scene. The songs are fast, catchy and gritty. Multiple vocals and a guest appearance by Hallie from The Unlovables put a lot of emotion behind some pretty witty, funny and powerful lyrics that deal with everything from work and punk politics to more serious, darker topics like alcohol and death. The cover art reflects the weight of the music on this incredibly special and personal release from one of the best punk bands that Chicago has to offer.
